Fabric-specific inspection and testing before any water
Upholstery fabric is not one material. Cotton, linen, wool blend, synthetic microfiber and leather all react differently to water, heat and cleaning solution, and the wrong call on any one of them can shrink a cushion, bleed a dye or leave a ring that was never there before.
Before anything gets treated, we identify the fabric and run a spot test in a hidden area to check how it holds up under moisture and solution. That test is what decides whether the piece gets a wet clean, a low-moisture clean, or a dry solvent approach, and it happens on every piece, not just the ones that look delicate.
